Atlantic Gaming Society Disclaimer

The Atlantic Gaming Society (hereinafter referred to as "AGS"), the events hosted by AGS (hereinafter referred to as "the event"), sponsors, members and staff cannot and will not be held liable for any/all damage or injury to participants’ equipment or person while traveling to/from the event or the event’s location. This includes, but is not limited to their time at the event, their time at the event location before, during, or after the event, and/or anytime in transit to or from the event or event location. The owners and operators of the event’s location are herby released, in addition to the event’s organizers, members, and staff, from any/all liability and/or claims with respect to damage to person or property. Participants’ equipment and personal safety and/or health and well-being are the participants’ sole, personal responsibility.

Further, AGS cannot and will not be held responsible for any game or intellectual property piracy occurring before, during, or after the event. It cannot and will not be AGS’s responsibility to monitor machines and network traffic in search of such activity or behavior. Software/game/program piracy is illegal and it must be understood that participants are responsible for the software/games/programs that are in their machines before, during, and after the event. The pirating of software, games, programs, or other items is intellectual property, and therefore not condoned nor supported by AGS. Participants are asked and required to have anti-virus software and current definitions installed and active at the event.

The viewing of any pornographic materials is strictly prohibited at the event and all AGS sponsored events. Participants are hereby warned that if caught viewing or making available pornographic materials to minors during the event, participants will be escorted from the event and banned from all future AGS involvement.

If a virus or other malicious code becomes available in the ‘wild’ on the LAN due to this event, know that AGS will cooperate with federal, state, and local authorities by providing any information that the aforementioned agencies may request in order to locate the individual or individuals who created/carried such virus or malicious code. If a participant is determined to be one of the individuals or sole individual responsible for the virus code or codes exposure to the LAN, that participant will be asked to run a current system virus scan and will not be allowed to continue to participate until the virus is removed. Participants may be barred from attending future AGS events until such time as the virus or malicious code is removed from their machine or as seen fit by the event’s organizers and staff.

If any participant conducts his or herself in a way that violates the rules and regulations as established by AGS, the participant will be reprimanded and further action may be taken. Included among those types of behavior that are not acceptable are those activities deemed disruptive or destructive in nature, and those activities that are disturbing to other gamers. These rules have been listed on the AGS web site (www.AtlanticGaming.org), and will be posted at the event. However, the inappropriateness of actions/behavior will be determined on an individual basis and event’s organizers or staff will make the final decisions as to the degree of action that must be taken and necessary to correct the situation. Entrance/Admission fees will not be refunded to those participants who are asked to leave the event at any time because of his/her inappropriate conduct or behavior.

To grant AGS and its sponsor’s the right to use the participant's image, likeness, and name for the purpose of promoting future AGS events and gaming products initial below.

I understand that AGS and the Sponsors will not be acting as a chaperone to my son/daughter and that my son/daughter will be responsible and held accountable for their own actions, safety, and possessions.
